Karen is a qualified counsellor who specialises in working with Bereavement, Anxiety, Depression and Trauma. She works with a wide range of issues and has been professionally trained in a variety of counselling theories/therapeutic approaches. This enables her to tailor her sessions to your individual needs. Outside of her private practice she works with Anxiety UK as an Approved Therapist and also has many years’ experience working as a Cruse Bereavement Volunteer and a Volunteer Counselling for a charity working with Rape and Sexual Abuse victims.

Counselling gives you an opportunity to talk through your thoughts and feelings in a safe, non-judgemental environment, where your voice will be heard. It gives you a safe place to explore the challenges you may be struggling with and help you to make sense of them and find a new way forward.

Counselling is not about the therapist telling you what to do or giving advice, it is about you and your experiences of your life. The sessions will be led by you, with Karen's help and support. Together you will travel on your journey, at your pace, looking and exploring your thoughts and emotions, as well as looking into your response to yourself and others during these challenging times.
